Match report Drienerlo – RKSV

For one time, it is a kind of a short match report because the one who should made it was injured after 20 minutes and missed most of the game….

Saturday September 29: time for the second league match for Drienerlo against RKSV. They relegated last season as well, so we know them quite good. Last season we won away 0-4 and at home ground we won 6-2. But these results does not say anything right now, where we both play a division lower than before.

Back to the game, the first half was quite balanced, with two big chances for RKSV but also good opportunities for us, with a three good opportunities from Bjornar and a few dangerous corner kicks. So yeah it was 0-0 at half time. We played quite well, the only thing missing was a goal and our aim was to score one as soon as possible.

Kris and Lucas did listen well to this half time speech. After a good pass from Lucas to the first post, Kris was very attentive at the first post where he touched the ball enough to score the goal. 1-0 after 50 minutes, that is a good start of the second half. Soon after that, a weak shot from their striker touched one of the Drienerlo defenders causing Harry to go the wrong corner… 1-1.
In the 75th minute, after a few opportunities, our new striker Bjornar a.k.a. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (one of the few Norwegian profs I know…) scored finally a goal (assist Luke) after some nice touches in the penalty box, 2-1!

To end badly, in the 90th minute the ball touched unintentionally a Drienerlo hand (which was placed very tightly to the body). The referee, who never could have seen it in the busy penalty area, gave a penalty, 2-2.

Drienerlo is now still on the 4th position, with 4 points out of 2 matches. Next week against our neighbour Achilles!
