What is the BSIT?
The Berno Slotman International Tournament is an annually returning, 3-day international football tournament. This tournament is organized by the v.v. Drienerlo, the football club of the University of Twente.
Teams from many countries participate in this tournament. There is a competition
for men's and competition for women's teams. Last year we had the honor to welcome teams from Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, England, France, Italy, Spain and Holland for example. The tournament is known for the great combination of fun, enjoyment, fair-play and great sports. During the tournament every team will play the same number of games. There will be played according to the
FIFA-rules. On saturday night, there will be a party for all participants in the
'Vesting Bar'.
When does the BSIT take place?
The 27th edition of the BSIT will be held during the weekend of Friday the 21th, Saturday the 22th and Sunday the
23th of May 2010.
Where will the BSIT be held?
The tournament will take place on the campus of the University of Twente, in Enschede, The Netherlands. The campus is an ideal place for a tournament, situated in the beautiful countryside. There are a lot of facilities situated in short distance of each other. Like the sportscentre with drinks and snacks, football fields, the Bastille with a restaurant, and the Vestingbar, a pub open as long as people are
present.
